The North Royalton concert bands consist of the Freshman Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble. Concert band season starts in the Fall after the conclusion of marching band season. The concert band's repertoire includes original wind compositions, arrangements of orchestral compositions, light music, popular tunes, and contest music selected by the OMEA.
The Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) is the principal organization in Ohio promoting music education in elementary and secondary schools as well as colleges and universities. One of the largest state music education associations in the United States, OMEA is a federated state affiliate of NAfME, The National Association for Music Education.
The 4 concert bands typically perform music at the following classes/levels:
- Freshman Band: Class C (suitable for 2nd year high school up to advanced high school)
- Concert Band: Class C (suitable for 2nd year high school up to advanced high school)
- Symphonic Band: Class B (suitable for 3rd year high school up to advanced high school)
- Wind Ensemble: Class AA (suitable for highly advanced high school up to professional groups)
