2017 Band Awards Night

Dear Band Families,

We are on the homestretch to the end of the school year and the Band Awards Banquet is fast approaching. Download the invitation and RSVP form. (The RSVP is the second page of the document.) RSVP’s are due back on May 1.

Band Award Night RSVPs

RSVPs are requested ASAP so we can order the correct amount of food. If your RSVP is not received on time we cannot guarantee we will have enough food for your family. A check is needed to pay for everyone attending who is not a Senior Band Student. The cost is $11 per person. Seniors band members are free. Please put the RSVP and payment in an envelope and mark it, “Awards Banquet Night” and have your student drop it off in the white band box.

Even if you do not attend the dinner, everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend the Band Awards program which starts at 7:00pm. It is a great way to spend an enjoyable evening with family and friends.

Volunteers

We need a few volunteers to help set-up, serve and clean-up after the dinner. Please indicate the time slot that you would be available to help for the Band Award Night dinner. See the Signup Genius link and if you could help out it would be greatly appreciated.

Drinks

We are asking band families to kindly donate some beverages for this event. The drinks can be dropped off at Cafeteria I beginning at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. Someone will be in Cafeteria I to accept your donation. NO beverages should be dropped off in the band room or the main office. Please click this Signup Genius link.

Thanks in advance for your assistance and donations!

Sincerely,

Helen

OMEA State Contest Volunteers Needed

Band families,

Preparations are underway for the OMEA Northeast Region State Band Adjudicated Event - held right here at North Royalton High School. We are very excited that we are the only band program to have four concert bands participating at the state level for this region, and we are also excited that we are able to host this event right here at our own home school. (Schedules and itineraries can be found on the Band Website.)

However, there is a great deal of responsibility entrusted to us for hosting this event. We have each of the students volunteering to help with volunteer shifts, but there are certain shifts that can only be held by adults.

We are asking for a few more adult volunteers to please help us out the weekend of April 28 and 29. We have minimized the number of adult shifts required based on absolute need.

If you can volunteer even a few hours - it would be greatly appreciated - and the jobs are not difficult. Jobs range from making sure doors remained closed during a performance, to making sure the sightreading areas are closed to the public.

If you can volunteer just a few hours - please click the enclosed link to our page on Sign-Up-Genius – and anything you can contribute is appreciated. We would not be able to host this event without the support of the Band Boosters and volunteers like you!

-Mr. Vitale

Chaperones Needed for OMEA District Contest on March 10th and 11th

Hello Band Families,

We are in need of 3 volunteers to chaperone for OMEA District Contest on March 10th and 11th. 2 parents are needed to accompany the Symphonic Band on Friday, March 10th (report time is 5:45 pm) and 1 parent is needed to accompany Concert Band on Saturday, March 11th (report time is 12 noon). Please contact Mary Brewer at mbrewer0125@yahoo.com / (440)390-0345 if you are able to help.

Juniors! We Need You!

Hi Junior Band Families,

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

On Friday, October 7, 2016, we will be honoring the senior band members. Dinner for them and their immediate family will be served at 5:15PM, right after practice and before the game. We are hoping the rest of the band will enjoy pizza, bakery and beverages, but CURRENTLY LESS THAN HALF THE JUNIOR BAND FAMILIES HAVE SIGNED UP TO DONATE and there will not be enough bakery for the Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen.

We are asking all Junior Band Families to bring store bought desserts with NO peanuts to this event. Please send your dessert with your band student and have them drop it off in Cafeteria II before they go to practice. Please put your last name on the dessert. NO dessert should be dropped off in the band room. Someone will be in Cafeteria II to take it.

Please sign up for a dessert here. Any store bought bakery or cookies (with NO peanuts) would be greatly appreciated.

If you have any questions, please contact me at alandhelenkelly@cox.net or (440) 746-9048.

Thanks,

Helen
Hospitality Committee

We Need Your Help for Senior Band Night!

Hello Freshman, Sophomore and Junior Band Families!

Friday, October 7th is Senior Band Night! It is an evening where the Boosters thank our senior families and our band members for everything they have done during their four years with the Marching Band .

Therefore, all senior families are unavailable to volunteer that evening so they can take the time to enjoy dinner, photos, time with family and friends and of course enjoy watching the Band!

Please consider volunteering for one of the following positions that night:

  • Concessions: Contact Dawn Rembowski: 216-990-0271
  • 50/50: Contact: Elisa Race -- 216-407-5625
  • Uniforms: Contact: Anthony Amato -- 216-401-7763

Band Fest Help Needed!

Hello Band Parents and Supporters!

Our 2016 Band Festival is this coming Saturday, September 17. We currently have very few people signed up to help. If you would like to help us out, please click here on this link . It will take you to the sign up genius where you can choose which volunteer opportunity you would like to do!

The jobs we need help with are as follows:

  • Program Sales (4) Sales will pause during NRHS Band's performance
  • Ushers (6) Volunteers will be assisting audience in the home stands
  • Ticket Sales and Collections (10) Volunteers will be needed at the start of the evening. Once the number of people entering slows down, volunteers can trade shifts to man entrances. Sales will end before NRHS Band's performance.
