Concert Uniform/ instrument returns

Hello Parents,

We hope everyone is doing well. Just a few reminders:

CONCERT DRESS RETURNS ; Ladies please put your name on the hanger of your dress with tape or a post it to help facilitate our return process.

(Please drop off you items on the date you are scheduled, If you missed your drop off date, please arrange to drop off on one of the remaining dates)

Monday, April 27 – Flutes 
Thursday, April 30 – Clarinets 
Monday, May 4 – Alto and Tenor Saxes 
Thursday May, 7 – Trumpets 
Monday May 11 – Horn / Trombone 
Thursday, May 14 – Baritone / Tuba / Percussion 
The times for all Uniform/Instrument Turn-In is 10:00AM-noon
We are going to start the process to collect the concert tuxes and concert dresses as well as any school-owned instruments. This process has been carefully crafted by the band staff and administration to make sure that social distancing procedures are being followed and to spread out the collection process over a long period of time to keep numbers low. On your assigned day, students will follow the following procedure:
· Students will enter the back lot through Drive #4, and drive around to the back HS door by the Green Band Room (Custodial Doors)
· Student will hang up their Tuxedo or Concert Dress on the rack set up outside at the drop-off location
· Student will leave their school owned instrument on the curb
· Students are not to enter the building, and if there is a car already at the drop-off location for uniform/instrument turn in, the next car should wait so only one student is putting materials on the curb at a time
· If a student wishes to sign out a color guard silk for auditions, students should take one from the bin on the curb, and sign the clipboard next to the bin to sign it out.
· Band Staff will move the instrument/uniform from the rack/curb after the car has departed
· There will be no interaction with other students or staff members in the Turn-in process
· If their school-owned instrument is still in the band locker, they should remove it when they clear out their band lockers on May 18-21. Students will not be allowed into the building.
· If a student cannot get a ride to drop off their instrument/uniform, it can be dropped off by a classmate if social distancing guidelines are followed. So you do NOT need to drop off your instrument/uniform in person – someone can drop it off for you
All school owned instruments, and uniforms, and color guard silks should all be returned by the end of the day on 5/14. A list of missing items will be turned in the administration by 5/15 so that the administration will know what seniors are not “cleared” for graduation, and what underclassmen will own fines/fees for unreturned school-owned equipment. If any non-senior wants to hold on to their school-owned instrument to continue private lessons, audition for OMEA All-State or CYWS, please Email Mr. Vitale directly, and those individuals can hold on to their school-owned instruments.

Football game, Revere Adjudicated Event, Senior Dinner

This Weeks game is Friday, Sept 27th at Stow-Monroe Falls High School. (3227 Graham Rd, Stow OH 44224) Come cheer us on!

Our first Band Adjudicated Event this year is Saturday, Sept 28th at Revere High School. (3420 Everett Rd. Richfield) Wear your purple/ spirit wear and cheer for our Bears! Students must wear their contest pants for this event. For new parents: These events are very crowded. The event starts at 5 pm and North Royalton plays at 9:05 pm. It is quite an amazing experience to see all of the other marching bands perform. However, If you cannot make the entire event, I would recommend getting there at least 1 1/2 hrs early to avoid any parking and seating issues that may arise. Please see Mr. Vitale's website under performances for your student's itinerary and a driving map. See you all there! 



Freshmen, Sophomore, and Junior band parents,

Friday, October 18th is our Senior dinner honoring all of our senior band members and their immediate families.

We are in need of volunteers for set up, serving and clean up for that evening. Please consider donating some time for this event.

The Gear in-up store is open again for orders of the commemorative t-shirts from The North Royalton Festival of Bands 2019. Remember your amazing performances by wearing this t-shirt proudly!

The online store will be open until Sept 25, 2019, at 11:59 pm (EDT) for orders. Orders can be picked up in person at Gear in-up or can be shipped to your house for a small shipping fee. Shirts WILL NOT be passed out to your bands directly.


For families traveling to Disney to see the band this December, Bob Rogers travel is offering a discount ticket package to the parks.

We would like to inform you that a discounted 3-Day Park-Hopper Disney Ticket Only Package and a 1-Day/2 Parks Universal Ticket Only Package is now available for those who might have friends and family traveling separately.

  • The discounted Disney ticket price is $409 (park hopping is included)
  • The discounted Universal ticket price is $150 (both parks are included)
  • The cut-off date for adding tickets is September 30, 2019
  • Payment will be processed automatically on September 30, 2019
  • Tickets are valid the week of December 30, 2019 - January 2, 2020

Marching band pant hemming

Hello Parents,

If your students marching band pants require hemming, Chris Norwalk will be in the High School Cafeteria next to the band room this Wed. Sept. 18th at 5:45pm. Please have your student bring both pairs of pants and their marching shoes. Alterations should be completed by the end of the 6-9pm practice and students can pick them up before they leave.

Parent preview night, Parade, Spirit wear, fruit sale

Good evening parents! The fun begins this weekend!

Friday Aug 23th 7-8pm Serpentini Stadium .
Come see what your students have been learning all summer long! It is a great time to take pictures! Feel free to arrive starting at 6pm, especially if you ordered ice cream sundaes.

Photo buttons: You can purchase a button and WEAR your kids’ smiling face all season! All students were photographed individually, and some chose to take a group photo with friends. In addition to helping you show your spirit and support, this is a great Boosters fundraiser. Buttons will be $5 each or 3 for $12 (cash or check only). We’ll see you there!

Students need to be at the High School by the time Mr. Vitale specified to them (usually 1:45-2: 00 pm). Enjoy the parade which goes from St. Alberts all the way back to the High School. Your student can either be picked up at the High School afterward or you can meet up with them somewhere in the square.

The marching band's annual fruit sale will be starting next month. This is a major fundraiser for the band and will be a huge success with everyone's participation. We will be offering navel oranges, grapefruit, tangelos, apples, pineapples, pears, and cheesecake.

Please make a note of the following:

Fruit Blitz Weekend- Save the Dates...September 7th & 8th – All students sell door to door in groups of two or three in our local neighborhoods.

All fruit orders and collected money are due on Wednesday, September 11. All orders received in by September 11th will be eligible for a drawing for a $50 Disney gift card.

A few changes from Previous Years

  • Fruit Group Leaders Only - will sign up by the elementary school they went to. They need to provide their name, text number, parent’s cell number, and their group-members names. Sign-up sheets are on the band doors.
  • Fruit Group Leaders Only – will pick up the sales packets after Wednesday night practice on September 4th.
     After The Weekend Blitz...additional order forms will be given to your student. These additional paper orders are for families and friends. The turn in date is October 11 in the white band mailbox. More info will come out later.

Uniform Alterations

Attention any band student (Instrumental, Royalette, or Royalaire) needing alterations to their uniform, Chris will be in the band room at 5pm this evening to help. Please make sure you student BRINGS THIER PERFORMANCE SHOES to help with pants hemming. Uniforms should be available for pick-up after the 6-9pm practice this evening.

Band Front 2019/2020 Registration is Now Open!

Band Front Registration Directions

Hello Band Front Families,
It is time to register for the 2019-2020 band season. Band Front Registration will be taking place online over the next few days. The deadline is June 1 All fees and information are needed at this time. Have your credit or debit card ready when you register. All payments are made through Key Bank Merchant Services. We are not using Pay Pal this year.

Once you have completed your registration you will receive an email from Band Boosters with your Band Registration Information. We recommend saving this email as it is your receipt for your registration.

Family Volunteer Commitment:
New this year, the Family Volunteer Commitment is part of the Band Front Registration Form. We ask each family to support their student and the band by signing up for at least four activities. One of the reasons we have a great band is the high level of parent support and involvement. The majority of the funds needed to support the band (uniforms, instruments, etc.) come from these fundraisers. It is a good idea to have your calendar available. The Sign up Geniuses for each activity will open on a different webpage, so remember to return to the registration page to complete the registration. Note that we will close individual activities once we have enough volunteers. If you have more than one band student, you are not expected to volunteer for additional activities. Simply check the box in the FAMILY VOLUNTEER COMMITMENT section that you have already signed up for four volunteer activities.
