Hello Band Families!

This week, August 3rd, we will have our first Frosty Friday!  The Kona Ice truck will be in the main parking lot during the band camp lunch break from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm.

Please see the attached forms for details about the ice cup prices, flavors and nutrition information.  The cup sizes are 12, 16, 20 and 22 ounces.

Once the kids are back to practice, family members and friends are welcome to come visit the truck too!  They will stay until about 1:30.  Kona Ice accepts cash, credit and debit cards.

Frosty Fridays at Band Camp with Kona Ice!

Hello Band Families!

We are excited to announce Munching for Music's New Fundraiser Frosty Fridays with Kona Ice! Kona Ice will be visiting Band Camp 2 Fridays in August. Please be sure your Bando brings some extra money if he/she would like a frosty cold treat to beat the heat during their break. 

Also please keep an eye open for the pre-sale order form coming your way for our Ice Cream Social following Parent Preview night.

Air Show Information

We Need Your Help!

Dear Parents,

Our biggest fund raiser is the Air Show. We work in the parking lots and at the entrance gates Labor Day weekend rain or shine. We have a good time! The air show provides us with lunch, and we get free admission to the Air Show once our shift is over. For new parents, this is a way to spend time with your teen and meet other band families. Funds from this event are budgeted to the marching band contest show materials and equipment. Without the Air Show, we do not have a quality marching band contest show.

We are in need of a committee of four to five people to take over coordinating the air show. I understand this is last minute. Doug Payne will be the lead for the committee. Please make a decision to be part of this committee so we can make this event a success and fund the contest show.

Air Show Oops! 😉 Correction

Dear Parents,

We appreciate you all and your patience as we as your New Band Booster Board learn all the ropes. We had a bit of information get crisscrossed and we wanted to let you know the funds we raise from the Air Show are allocated to the Band Trip Fund i.e. the Disney Trip, not our contest show.

With that said, this is our largest fund raiser  We work in the parking lots and at the entrance gates Labor Day weekend rain or shine and we have a great time! We look forward to having you help volunteer as well as if you are willing to co-chair please let us know.

Munching For Music Monday Fiesta!

Dear Band Families,

Our next Munching for Music event will allow you to celebrate Siete de Mayo! This is not to be confused with the more well-know Cinco de Mayo. What sets our special day apart is the fact that when you celebrate by eating at Chipotle, you help raise money for the band! ¡Que oportunidad tan fantástica!

Last Call for Spring Banquet

Dear NR Band Families,

The Spring Band Dinner/Award evening will be on Wednesday, May 2nd. If you have already signed up your senior and/or family for this evening thank you. If not, you still can send in your money and orders by Monday, April 30th. This is absolutely the last day we can accept dinner RSVP’s. We have to call the caterer by 3:00 p.m. that day. Please have your bando drop off their order in the white band box. Attached you will find the invitation and all the information for this special evening.

Sign Up Genius to Help at the Banquet

Dear Band Families,

You Are Cordially Invited

Dear Band Families,

We are getting very close to the end of our school year and with that comes the Band Banquet/Awards Evening.  This is a fun evening to celebrate your child and what he or she has accomplished over the past year.  The awards ceremony will be Wednesday, May 2nd at 7:00 p.m., but you are welcome to attend a dinner beforehand as well if you are interested.

The dinner is catered by Brennan’s and the invitation is attached to this email.
The Band Boosters pay for all seniors’ dinners.  Anyone else that would like to attend the dinner ranging from freshman to junior families and the families of the seniors will have to pay for their meals. The cost is $11 per person.

So, if you come with an appetite and would like to eat the catered dinner doors will open at 5:30 . If you would like to just be a part of the band awards, please join us promptly at 7:00 p.m. Please let us know if you have any questions,
