PLEASE READ! Parent Mentors for 2019-2020 School Year

Dear Band Parents,

This year we introduced parent mentors to help incoming freshman parents adjust to high school band.  Parents from each section volunteered to be the point person for new parents.  Feedback indicated that this was well received, so we plan to continue having parent mentors for the 2019-2020 school year.  We have also decided to offer mentors for fall sports and the senior parents.  The senior parent mentor will be a parent who has already graduated a bando and is graduating another bando in 2020.  They can let parents of seniors know what to expect throughout the school year. 

We plan to email each mentor the list of parents in their section so you can reach out to incoming parents and introduce yourself.  We are in need of mentors for seniors, all fall sports except boys soccer, mellophone, baritone, and Royalaires.

This Thursday 1-17-19 Band Booster Meeting & Committee Chair Meeting

Hello Band Families!

Happy New Year!  We hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday Season and this finds everyone doing well in the New Year!

Just a friendly reminder we will have our first Band Booster meeting of 2019, this Thursday, January 17th at 7pm in the NR High School Media Center. Immediately following the regular Booster meeting there will be a Committee Chair meeting.

We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Hello Band Families!

We wanted to share with all of you that are attending the Holiday concerts this Sunday & Monday that ticket order forms for the Rhythm and Raffle will be available at the concerts.

Also, if anyone has any baskets or containers that they would like to donate for the raffle baskets, we would greatly appreciate that.  There will be a table with a Rhythm and Raffle sign, they can drop them off there.

2018 Holiday Concert Tickets Pre-Order

Presale ticket orders accepted until end of the school day on Tuesday, December 11th.

The Holiday Concert is quickly approaching and the seats are quickly disappearing. The Sunday shows are nearly sold out. If you have not turned in your ticket orders you must do so by the end of the school day on Tuesday, December 11th. All orders must be put into the white band box in the band room.

If you miss the cutoff date you will have to purchase your tickets at the door. Tickets must be purchased at the ticket table which will be set up in the hallway outside of the PAC doors. The ticket table will be open beginning one hour prior to each show. Tickets may be purchased by cash or check only.

2018 Holiday Band Concert Tickets & Information

This year’s Holiday Concert will be held on Sunday, December 16th and Monday, December 17th. This concert has reserved seating. Mr. Vitale distributed the ticket order forms this past week. You may download the form on Mr. Vitale’s website. The link should be operational in the next few days. Please note that not every band plays at every performance. Please take note of your child’s band when ordering tickets.

If you are a Band Booster member (Half Note, Whole Note or Grand Staff) you are eligible for two complimentary tickets to the holiday concert. Please complete an order form to receive your tickets as the concert has reserved seating.

Please remember to submit an envelope with your ticket order noting your child’s name and band so your filled ticket order can be distributed to your child in the correct band.

All ticket orders should be dropped in the white band box in the band room. Ticket orders will be picked up weekly from the band box each Monday/Tuesday beginning Monday, November 19th. Completed orders will be filled and returned to school on Thursday/Friday. Mr. Vitale will send the filled ticket orders home with your student.

The cutoff for presale tickets will be Tuesday, December 11th (end of 10thperiod). No orders will be received after this date. Tickets will be available at the door before the concert as available. Sunday concerts will sell out so submit your orders early.
