Change of Date for Uniform Pick Up for Athletes in Band

Hello Band Families!

There is a change of date to pick up your band students uniform, who is also in athletic's. We are changing the date to next Friday, August 10th at 4pm instead of this Friday. (this only pertains to those who were unable to make it earlier in the week & needed a different day)

Please make note of this change and we apologize for any inconvenience. If you need to make additional changes please contact Joel Young.

Want to enjoy the State performance again? Want to enjoy the Marching Band concert again? The Boosters will be offering two ways to remember the 2017 Marching Band season!

In conjunction with SoundWaves of Cleveland, we will be offering a DVD of State Finals (the ONLY way to get a hard copy of the performance) and a CD recording of our Marching Band Concert!

Senior Band Night

Honoring all Senior Band Students and their Parents

Reception will be Friday, October 20, 2017 5:00 - 6:15PM2017 5:00 - 6:15PM

Dinner will be served at 5:15 PM in Cafeteria II (by the band room)

Augies Pizza and Catering will be used for the dinner.

Dinner includes:

  • Chicken Marsala
  • Broccoli, Cauliflower, Carrot Vegetable medley
  • Roasted Red Potato
  • Zitti Pasta with Marinara Sauce
  • Tossed Salad with House Italian Dressing
  • Rolls & Butter

All Seniors will receive Corsages or Boutonnieres and their parents will each receive a rose.

RSVP Card is due by October 12, 2017.  RSVP paper is attached to this email, on the Band Booster website OR in the band room!

6:40PM — Pre-Game Show
7:00PM — Home Football Game

  • Two complimentary admissions to the football game will be granted per family.  This will be based on the information provided on the RSVP Card.  Please check in at the SOUTH END gate where the North Royalton High School Marching Band enters and exits the field.
  • After PRE-GAME show, parents can meet with their Senior band member behind the band bleachers at the south end of the football field.  Pictures will be taken and line up will begin.

During HALF-TIME of the football game, Seniors and their parents will be announced and recognized on the football field.

Fruit Sale Blitz Rescheduled

REVISED FRUIT SALE BLITZ WEEKEND INFORMATION:

Due to the impending landfall of Hurricane Irma, projected to hit Florida this weekend ‪through Tuesday as a Cat. 4 or 5, we have been advised by our fruit company to hold off on our Fruit Sale. We receive the majority of our citrus fruit for the sale from Florida. Until the hurricane has passed, we will not know how our growers will be impacted.

We will be rescheduling our Blitz Packet Handout to ‪Wednesday September 20th. Band members will still be reporting to Cafeteria 2 after 6-9 practice. We still need volunteers for the hand out that day ‪from 8:30pm - 9:30pm. Please see the revised Sign Up Genius to volunteer.

We will be doing our Fruit Sale Blitz on Saturday, September 23rd. (We do realize some of you may have prior commitments for that day such as Cross Country meets etc. These students may also sell on Sunday the 24th as well. We will be available on Monday the 25th after Band practice by the Band room to collect those few Blitz packets as well.)

The schedule for the 23rd is pictured below and is also on Mr. Vitale's website. We will hold our Blitz Packet turn in and Pizza Party (on September 23rd) after the Band Members have reported for the Twinsburg football game. We need volunteers for this day to help with packet collection and pizza from 4pm - 5:30pm Please see the revised Sign Up Genius to volunteer.

We will be handing out packets for the Personal Fruit Sale after 6-9 practice on September 27th.

We very much appreciate your flexibility, understanding, and support with these unexpected changes. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us. Please keep our growers and all the families in the path of this hurricane in your thoughts. This could be a catastrophic situation for all of those in the path of this destructive monster which could cause loss of lives, homes and livelihoods.

NRMB CD/DVD Orders

Marching Band Concert CDs and State Final DVD INFORMATION!

IF YOU ORDERED CDS AND/OR DVDS: Please read this in its entirety regarding your CD and/or DVD order.

Marching Band Concert CDs have arrived!

They are labeled and will be distributed TO YOUR BAND MEMBER on Wednesday, DECEMBER 21! Please make sure you remind your bando to pick up the CD!!

STATE FINAL DVDs have NOT arrived!

A final copyright license is still being processed, therefore the DVDs will not be available until next year.

As soon as they arrive, we will have them distributed to your bando.

As you know, the NRHS Marching Band is the ONLY band to ‘figure out’ how to get a copy of an OMEA State Final Performance in DVD format that follows all copyright rules. Each song in the Contest show must have its own license to record. The final license is being processed and then the DVDs will be created.

Concert Uniform Pickup

Concert Uniform Pick Up has been scheduled for:

  • Time: 6:30 – 8:00
  • Place: Room 310

Freshman families… please be patient as fitting the concert uniforms may take a few minutes!

NOTE: YOU MAY NOT PICKUP YOUR CONCERT UNIFORM UNLESS YOUR MARCHING BAND UNIFORM HAS BEEN TURNED IN!
