Thank You, Band Families

Dear Band Families,

I cannot thank you enough for your participation in the Cleveland National Airshow. Although our numbers were significantly down this year, those of you who volunteered did a fantastic job and for those of you who volunteered to work two days, well, there just are no words. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

After a rough start on Saturday, you all came through on Monday in a big way. Airshow officials have told me that Monday was the largest attended day in recent memory. It was estimated we had well over 5000 cars come through the gate on Monday. Fortunately, we had a whopping 94 volunteers that day allowing us to easily handle the volume. And even better, the lot was completely full by 2:30 PM and we were done!

The North Royalton High School Marching Band is a large organization and a big operation. Without the help of volunteers like you, our kids would not be able to enjoy the benefits of belonging to this great organization.

Please stay involved in any way you can and again, thank you for your efforts and contribution to the kids and the marching band!

Fruit Sale Blitz Weekend

Sept 9-10 is our Fruit Sale Blitz weekend… packets will be handed out in Cafeteria 2 after the Wednesday 6-9 practice. A few things to remember: travel in groups and ONLY during the daylight hours, wear the Purple Band Polo uniform, (the one you wore for the Home Days Parade!), stay on the street you signed up for, do not enter any one’s home and have fun!! The NR Police are aware that we will be going door to door for this fruit sale. Monday after extended practice, stop by Café 2 for Pizza as a Thank You from the Boosters! Any questions? Band Fest - September 16

The preview of our contest show will be Saturday, Sept 16 at Band Fest! We will be hosting 12 bands in total and there will be more than 1800 performers! WOW!!!!! Plan to come for the entire evening to enjoy the show. Tshirts will be sold at the event! We still need a few volunteers to help sell programs. To volunteer

Football Game Date Change

Car Raffle Tickets

Your bando received two car raffle tickets to sell after the practice last Wednesday. Sold tickets and payment should be returned to the white band box. You can get extra tickets to sell by contacting Joyce Fink: 440-237-1636

A Note of Thanks

Dear Band Families,

As a follow up to our email titled: ‘Today’s News’, the Boosters would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to all the bandos, their families and friends that stepped up to help us out on Sunday and Monday! We had a record turnout of volunteers!

We hope that you had a fantastic time, watched the Air Show and were able to meet other band families in the process.

We Really Need Your Help This Weekend

Dear Band Families,

We are down to 61 openings for Air Show this weekend. Those 61 spots are worth over $2,000! Plus, our numbers for Sunday and Monday are low enough that we may not be invited back next year. Help us earn money for our band this year and keep the opportunity for future years. It is fun and easy work. You get to see the show for free, and lunch & parking are provided too. Make it a family day and volunteer with your high school kids!

Car Raffle Tickets Were Distributed

Dear Band Families,

The Band Booster Car Raffle tickets were distributed last night after practice. If your child did not receive their envelope ask them to see Mr. Burdick to pick it up. Please remind your student that they are responsible for the raffle tickets they received. Whether they are able to sell them or not, they need to be turned in by Wednesday, October 11, 2017. DO NOT LOSE YOUR TICKETS!!

A Message From Mr. Vitale

Dear Band Families

On behalf of the Band Boosters, I just wanted to remind parents that we still need volunteers for this weekend’s Air Show. We have slots that need to be filled for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. It is not hard work, there are plenty of breaks, and lunch is provided! You can even make an event of it with your student, because they can help as well (as long as they are over 15) and then you guys get to see the Air Show while you are helping out!

This is one of our biggest fundraisers for the Band - and if we are not able to fully staff it, then we run the risk of not being invited to run it in the future. Needed: Assistant Chairpersons for Various Committees

We are in need of a few parents to help out our committees. It is a lot of fun to work on these committees. You will meet wonderful parents and every minute of your time directly benefits our band program

Here is what we need:

PHOTO BUTTONS – need a parent to help the chairperson with Picture Day, process the pictures, help make the buttons and distribute at home games. It is a lot of fun… especially making the buttons!

50/50 RAFFLE – need a parent to assist our chairperson the nights of the home games. You would help check in our volunteers, distribute tickets to our volunteers to sell, collect money, tear tickets and help close out the raffle. Involvement is from 6 pm – halftime.

CHAPERONES – help chairperson to make sure all buses have chaperones. May require calling or emailing volunteers. Need to be able to chaperone the busses to away games and contests. It is a great way to meet the band and no worries about parking or driving to away events!

CONCERT UNIFORMS – need a parent to help the chairperson prepare the uniforms, distribute and collect for CONCERT season.

Marching Band Cup & Contest Hoodies

Dear Band Families,

We are in the middle of our membership drive. We have many membership levels to choose from and this year you can also add on a wonderful Tervis cup with the NRHS Marching Band logo for $25. This cup is only available to members. The add on is at the bottom of the form. If you have already joined you can still order cups. Just fill out the top of the form with your name and contact info, fill in the Tervis cup add on box with the number of cups you want, and then write next to it that you are already a member. It is also time to order your contest hoodies and pins. Please note that all orders (including orders made through our Grand Staff Membership) are due in the white band box by September 7.
