OMEA State Contest Volunteers Needed!

We will be hosting the OMEA State event April 28-29 at NRHS. We are in need of 100 volunteers throughout the weekend to help make this event a success! We have many opportunities for volunteering: Concessions, Sight Reading Door Monitors, Stage Crew/Gym & PAC Door Monitors, Program Sales, Hospitality, and Parking.

Easter Seals

The Band Boosters will be partnering once again with Easter Seals! Our event will be running the SAME DAYS as State Contest. Since it was so successful, we will be parking the Easter Seals truck right outside the PAC. We do need volunteers to work the truck during the event. Please consider helping us out with this event! State Band DVDs

The State Band DVDs will be distributed Monday, May 13. Please remind your student to pick up your DVD from Mr. Vitale.

MAY 6 – Basket Raffle

Our annual Basket Raffle event will be MAY 6th and 3Spot in North Royalton. The 3Spot will be giving us the MAIN DINING room for our event this year! The ticket order form has gone out! Please send your ticket reservation to Becky Humes (address on ticket order form) or deposit in the white band box! Looking forward to a warm, spring event.

As mentioned above, we are in need of TWO people to chair our Fruit Sale next year. I can honestly say that I have worked with Susie and Karen this year and these gals have TOTALLY organized this committee and have fantastic notes for you to follow for next year. Consider volunteering NOW since both Karen and Susie are available to go over everything with you for next year! Call Amanda Kost 440-864-6543 or Susie Perez 440-877-1299 if you are interested in volunteering. It is a FUN committee!!

At this time we are also requesting donations for this event. These donations make up all the baskets and door prizes, as well as provide supplies for making the baskets.

Please donate items such as:

  • wine
  • jewelry
  • spa certificates
  • restaurant certificates
  • store gift cards
  • golf items
  • gardening items
  • pet supplies
  • car supplies
  • auto repair certificates
  • sporting goods
  • health club certificates
  • college items/clothing
  • health/beauty supplies or certificates

You can also donate supplies, such as baskets (all sizes), cellophane, ribbon, basket grass, and large poster board.

We are also asking for help in obtaining donations from places you frequent. If asked, businesses are more often willing to give to frequent and favorite customers than just letters being mailed out. Check with your favorite restaurants, stores, salons, etc. to see if they are willing to donate to help support our band. We have attached a donation request letter and a donation form that you can take with you.

NR Schools Bond Issue

Hello Band Families!

As you know, North Royalton will have a Bond Issue on the ballot May 2. At our Band Booster Meeting, February 27, the Boosters voted to endorse the Bond Issue.

Below are documents that we are asking you to review, consider volunteering to help and show your support with a yard sign.

Please take the time to complete the following survey. It only takes a few minutes!

Chaperones Needed for OMEA District Contest on March 10th and 11th

We are in need of 3 volunteers to chaperone for OMEA District Contest on March 10th and 11th. 2 parents are needed to accompany the Symphonic Band on Friday, March 10th (report time is 5:45 pm) and 1 parent is needed to accompany Concert Band on Saturday, March 11th (report time is 12 noon). OMEA Solo/Ensemble Event

Congrats to all our solo and ensemble members that performed at TriC West on February 11th. FANTASTIC job… I heard so many amazing performances as I was waiting and walking through the hallways…. Always proud to represent NRHS BAND! Keep up the amazing musical work

Munch for Music at the new Strongsville location of FIVE GUYS! Located just south of Royalton Road on the east side of Pearl Road, Five Guys is once again extending to us the opportunity to EAT for $$$$! Flyer is attached!
