Booster News, Reminders
Band Booster Meeting
Our next Band Booster Meeting is this Monday, September 29 at 7:00 P.M. in the NRHS Community Room located in the front of the high school. We look forward to seeing you there!
Although becoming a Band Booster Member is always welcome at any time during the year, we are nearing the end of our Membership drive. Currently, our numbers are about 10% lower than last year. Perhaps this is because of our website transition, or simply because it has slipped your mind. Realizing that this organization directly benefits our kids and enhances their experience in the high school band program, we strongly feel it is important that all parents support the band boosters. Please consider becoming a member. To do so, complete the membership form, fill it out and have your student place it in the white box in the band room. (Please mark your envelope “Band Booster Membership.”) Another option would be to attend our booster meeting on Monday, September 29. Spirit wear and membership will be displayed and available to all interested.
Spirit Wear Sale
At the Booster meeting select spirit wear from our inventory will be on sale. Please note most sale merchandise is black-colored and sizes are limited. If you have any questions, please contact Shirley at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank goodness for a relatively calm week for everyone! See you Friday at the game!
Band Booster President
We need another 4 volunteers to work concessions at the game this Friday. If you can help, please contact Monica at email@example.com.

Booster News, Events
What a great night for a Festival of Bands! We couldn't have had a better evening for this event! Hosting in September seems to really be a good thing...September historically is a beautiful and relatively dry month...but we do live in the unpredictable northeast Ohio area! Thank goodness we dodged a rainy bullet last night! That truly could make or break an event like this!
Thanks for all the hard work of all our volunteers! Especially Rich and Monica Hrin, and Chris and Beth Burdick for organizing this event! It is turning out to be a great fundraiser for us! This was our 3rd year for this event and there were many compliments and thank you's for hosting this festival. Concessions and ticket sales worked particularly hard feeding the crowd and bands and selling tickets to nearly 1400 people as well as selling programs! 50/50 deserves a big shout out for not only selling tickets but helping with crowd control and any seating concerns. We had several ushers navigating the guests to their seats to avoid congestion and the Pit Crew parked all the buses in the high school staff lot! A great effort was made by all! It looks like this event is becoming quite popular and we will definitely need more help next year!
Although I did not get to see any bands, except our own, the comments I heard were that it was a very entertaining show! Mr. Vitale's talents and efforts once again proved to be exceptional last night! What a complicated and amazing show and our kids performed their hearts out! It gives me goose bumps to see 280 kids working together to sell this performance to the audience. I can't wait to see what it looks like when they perform at State Competition!
Looking forward...next week is Homecoming and our first contest is October 4th at Perkins High School in Sandusky. Purchase your spirit wear and booster membership apparel so that we can show our support in the stands if you haven't done so already! Membership and spirit wear will be available at our next booster meeting, Sept. 29. You can also download a form from our website, northroyaltonbandboosters.com, and have your student put it in the white band box (mark your envelope ‘Booster Membership’). Additionally, we have only 5 "bling" items left. Get yours before they are sold out! Please contact Shirley at firstname.lastname@example.org or 440-717-1532 with any questions regarding spirit wear or membership.
Thanks again for all the hard work of our parent volunteers! Your efforts DID NOT go unnoticed! We truly are fortunate to be a part of such a great organization!
We need 4 more volunteers to work at the ticket booths on Saturday for Band Fest. If you can help please contact Rich at email@example.com.

Welcome to week #4 of Marching Band Season! This week proves to be a busy one with the Fruit Sale blitz winding down, the car raffle ticket sale beginning on Wednesday, a home game on Friday and our Booster Hosted Band Festival on Saturday. Please check the director’s page for details about our upcoming performances.
Although the Blitz was this past weekend, the fruit sale continues until October 17. Please continue to offer fruit to relatives, people at work, or neighbors that may have been missed during the blitz. This is a very profitable fund raiser for our kids and band program.
Each year band students are asked to sell car raffle tickets. Half of the ticket price goes to our Band and the other half goes to the Stadium Foundation. The grand prize is a car from Serpentini Chevrolet. Band students will get their tickets on Wednesday after band in Cafe 2.
Buttons will be available for pick up at the main entrance (north entrance) from 6:30 until halftime at this Friday's home game. If anyone is interested in ordering buttons, please contact Nancy Chester at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Uniforms for Band Festival
Be aware that students are expected to wear contest pants for Saturday's performance. Please try them on before Saturday to make sure they don’t need to be fixed, hemmed, etc. Also, be sure to check Mr. Vitale's page for specific details on contest attire.
We look forward to seeing you at the game on Friday! And bring your family and friends to the Band Festival on Saturday and our first view of Celebration of The Seasons contest show! Just remember to wear your band spirit wear!
Hello, Band Families!
We hope you are enjoying marching season so far! We want to let you know about a big fundraiser that will be starting this weekend - the annual fruit sale! The proceeds from this sale go into the general band fund. The company we use for this fundraiser is Florida Indian River Groves, located in Vero Beach, Florida. We will be selling navel oranges, grapefruits, tangelos, apples and a few combination packages. Here is some information for you:
To kick off this fundraiser our kids will have a blitz weekend on September 13th and 14th when students will be out in teams and selling door to door. The packets for the blitz weekend will be signed out after late band practice this Wednesday, September 10th. Your child may take longer getting out to the car or getting home that night; hopefully no more than an extra 20 minutes or so. If possible, they are to go out selling Saturday morning, but if there is a conflict they can pick another time during the weekend. It is mandatory that everyone participate, and it has been listed on the band calendar since spring.
- Everyone is to wear the band purple polo shirt and either khakis or shorts.
- Each team will be picking streets where they want to sell. They are to sell for two hours. If they finish the streets they picked then they can move on to other streets.
- All of the orders and money that is collected is to be brought back to school that Monday, September 15th, and turned in to the white band box. The kids will be treated to a pizza, pop and dessert meal that day to thank them for pounding the pavement over the weekend. They will either eat after extended practice or their monitored practice. The team envelope needs to be turned in for that team to enjoy pizza.
- The kids will get a reminder sheet about the blitz weekend after the football game this Friday night.
Wednesday of next week the kids will bring home a new fruit packet so they can continue selling fruit to family and friends. The last day to turn in orders and money will be October 17th. Details will be included with that packet.
Please read all of the information that your child brings home for both the blitz weekend and the personal fruit sale. If you have any questions you can contact either one of us. Thank you, in advance, for helping us make this a very successful fundraiser!

Dear Band Families,
This is just a reminder that the last day to order Contest Hoodies or join Boosters at the Grand Staff Level is this Wednesday (September 10). Because we order the exact number from the silk screener, late orders cannot be accepted and there will not be any extra for sale later. If you want a contest hoodie please make sure to order before Wednesday. The membership and contest hoodie order forms are attached if you still need one. If you have any questions, please contact Shirley Berish at 440-717-1532.
Come join us tomorrow evening (Friday) before the game at The 3 Spot for our 1st pregame gathering! This event will give you the opportunity to mingle with old friends, meet some new friends, win some money, order/pick-up buttons, buy your spirit wear, buy the winning ticket for the 50/50 drawing at the game (winner must be present at the football game), and become a member of the Band Booster organization! We will also sell one side board for more opportunities to win a little extra spending money! A limited menu will be offered to be sure we have time to eat before the game. Festivities begin at 4:30 but join us when you are able! We will start heading over to the game at approximately 6:15 and will find a spot in the bleachers that fits our spirited group! If you can't join us at the 3 Spot, please join us in the bleachers. Just look for the "Sea of Purple!"
Come dressed in your purple and gold! See you tomorrow evening!
