Dear Band Families:
We need 3 volunteers on Friday, November 14, and Saturday, November 15, to JUST BE PRESENT while the Honors Band rehearses for their performance at Cleveland State. We need 1 parent during each of the following shifts:
As part of the agreement with Cleveland State University hosting this event, each school is required to send 1 parent or Band Booster to be on site in case of an emergency. Because of this, we are looking for 3 parents that might be able to help us out and be on site to fulfill this requirement. The parent doesn’t need to “do” anything except be there. They can do work, read the paper, listen to the rehearsal, eat in the student center, watch the news, etc. Mr. Vitale has checked with the powers that be, and this person wouldn’t even have to be in the music building, they could hang out at the Student Center – which is connected by a walkway to the music building. Attached is a document with more information.
If you can help, please contact Mr. Vitale at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Don't forget Market Day Pie pickup is this Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 6:00 - 7:00 pm in Cafe #2 at the high school.
We also have 8 extra pies for sale if anyone is interested. They are:
- Classic Apple - Qty 2
- Pumpkin Pie - Qty 2
- French Silk - Qty 2
- Fruit Medley Deep Dish - Qty 2
If anyone is interested, it is first come, first serve. You can email me at email@example.com or call at 440-582-4120 before 4:00 pm if you are interested. Or you can purchase whatever is still available at the Pie pick up.

Hi Band Families,
The Post would like a picture of the band at State Finals to put in their newspaper. We are looking for good pictures of the band, preferably of a higher quality/megapixel. I think they may also consider pictures from one of the other contests if you don’t have one from the State Finals. If you are sending one of those please note which contest it is from. We need the picture as soon as possible. If you have one please email it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
There are still some tickets available for the Taste of North Royalton. It is this Thursday, November 6, at St. Paul's Hellenic Center and it goes from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. It will be a fun evening of food, drinks and wonderful raffle baskets. The event is co-sponsored by the North Royalton Stadium Foundation and the North Royalton Educational Foundation. The cost is $30 per person. If you are interested in attending, please email Jim Smith at email@example.com and he will work with you on getting tickets.

It has been such a busy week! The bandos had auditions for concert season, the last football game of the season and their trip to State Marching Band Finals. The seniors sure have a lot to be proud of with many lasting memories of the last four years.
Congratulations to our fine 2014 Marching Band! This was our 25th year in a row of receiving a "1" (Superior) at States!...even with some of the most adverse conditions possible. And we have 75 straight "1" ratings at competitions! Such a great tradition of excellence! It was nice to see Mr. Becerra, Mr. Gurka and Dr. Kelly supporting us and cheering us on in Columbus!
Thank you for all the hard work and dedication to the Pit Crew volunteers. They come early, work in all weather conditions, stay late and are some of our biggest fans!
A special thanks to Becky Cozzens for organizing and distributing Halloween candy to the band Friday after the game! The kids were very appreciative.
Monday is the last after school gathering for this season. Marching band students will be going to the middle school to perform and then returning to the high school to listen to the judges’ tapes from state band competition.
This Wednesday night is our Marching Band concert in the High School gym and will be the final performance of the marching band music. This concert will be professionally (audio) recorded. Forms will be available at the door of the gym. Only 75 CD's will be made. The concert starts at 7 pm. Check Mr. Vitale's website for complete details.
Car raffle tickets are now past due. If your band student has not turned in the money or returned the tickets to the white box please do so as soon as possible!
Marching band uniform turn in information will be coming soon.
Don't forget to vote on Tuesday. This bond issue directly affects our kids. Our vote is very important. Mr. Vitale announced at our booster meeting that the practice parking lot WILL be reconditioned with the money generated from this bond money.
See you at the Marching Band Concert!
Dear Band Families,
The response for the Band Treat bags has been amazing! Our band has very supportive parents and I am so happy to be in a group of such great people.
I thought I would easily fill the small treat bags I had envisioned and then the candy just kept flowing in. Now we are in need of filling bigger bags and so now I’m in need of help J. I will start working on the bags at noon tomorrow (Thursday). If anyone would like to join me in candy land :) that would be great. See address below.
