Contest Hoodies, Bling Wear & Disney

Hi Everyone,

The last day to order Contest Hoodies or join Boosters at the Grand Staff Level is Wednesday, September 9. No late orders will be taken and we will not be ordering extras. If you want a contest hoodie turn in your order by Wednesday. The membership and hoodie order forms are attached if you still need one.

Membership will be at the first home game this Friday. During the first half of the game, there will be samples of the band spirit wear and bling wear for you to look at and order. All bling wear orders are due by Wednesday, September 16. We have also attached a bling wear apparel sheet and order form for your convenience.

2015 Fruit Sale

Hello Band Families!

We hope you are enjoying marching season so far! We want to let you know about a big fundraiser that will be starting soon - the annual fruit sale! The proceeds from this sale go into the general band fund. The company we use for this fundraiser is Florida Indian River Groves, located in Vero Beach, Florida. We will be selling navel oranges, grapefruit, tangelos and a few combination packages.

To kick off this fundraiser our kids will have a blitz weekend on September 12th and 13th when students will be out in teams and selling door to door. Packets for that weekend will be coming home with one person per team on Wednesday, September 9th. Each team can pick which day works best for them to go out and sell. It is mandatory that everyone participate, and it has been listed on the band calendar since spring. Everyone is to wear the band purple polo shirt or the white band shirt. All of the orders and money that is collected during the blitz is to be brought back to school that Monday, September 14th, and turned into the white band box. The kids will be treated to a pizza and pop after late band practice that day to thank them for pounding the pavement over the weekend.

That Wednesday the kids will bring home a new fruit packet. They will first use it for our new Teacher Blitz Day. Thursday, September 17th we would like all of the students to personally ask each of their teachers to order some fruit and support the band. This would also be a good day to wear some kind of North Royalton band shirt! This same packet will continue to be used to ask family and friends for fruit orders. All orders are due by Saturday, October 17th, the day of the Perkins Contest.

Another Easter Seals ‘Fill The Truck’ Fundraiser

Saturday, September 19, from 9am to 8pm
Next to the North Royalton Board of Education, 6579 Royalton Road

Our first fundraiser was a HUGE SUCCESS! We collected 12,000 pounds of clothing and other cloth items! WOW!!! We also had so many people tell us they wish they had known earlier that we added another date.

Once again, we will be collecting any and all cloth items to benefit both the band and our community. Acceptable items include (but are not limited to): clothing, comforters, blankets, towels, sheets, shoes, accessories, and purses. The Boosters will only earn money from those types of cloth donations listed above. Even stained or torn items can be recycled into something else.

Tell your friends and neighbors! You do not need to have a student at North Royalton to donate items. All donors will receive a tax deductible receipt! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Amanda Kost at amandabethkost@gmail.com or at 440-864-6543.

Car Raffle Sale

Some notes about The Stadium Foundation Car Raffle (Please share with your band member)

The deadline to turn in money, ticket stubs, and unsold tickets is Friday, September 11. Students who sell their tickets by this deadline have a chance to win $200.00 in a drawing at the Homecoming Game on Sept. 25th.

We are working with other NRHS groups to raise money for the Stadium Foundation, but we get to keep $10.00 of every ticket WE sell. Our goal is for 100% participation from each band member. To help you with your sales we've provided two resources that are easy to access:

  1. Attached is a letter that each student can personalize by filling in the missing information and emailing to friends and family. (You know all those Aunts & Uncles & Grandparents who comment on how great you bandos are? Give them a chance to show their support by buying a raffle ticket.) We have included a teaser about the upcoming fruit sale, too. In case people don't want raffle tickets, maybe they will buy some fruit for the next fundraiser.
  2. We have also posted two photos on the Band Booster Facebook Page that everyone can share to their own wall. Write a customized note to go with it and let people know how to contact you for tickets. It's easy to find customers if you just get the word out.
  3. It is very important that you return your money and tickets by September 11th. We really want each band member to sell their two tickets. However, if you have no intention of selling your tickets, please return them to the band box ASAP. Another student might want them for their sales. Each ticket, sold or unsold, must be accounted for.

    Remember, you could win $200.00 just for selling your tickets by September 11th AND ... if you sell both tickets you could win a free contest hoodie from Band Boosters, too!

Newsletter - Booster Meeting, Air Show, Easter Seals, Band Fest and More!

Hi everyone!

Well, the first football game is in the books! And as always, the band did not disappoint! I heard so many positive comments from the people on the North Ridgeville side during the performance. I wanted to let you know that I reached out to the North Ridgeville Band Boosters to thank them for all the great food they gave ours Bandos at the game on Friday! Both my children came home talking about the way they were treated by the North Ridgeville band and parents. That was Sportsmanship at its best! It was so nice to see so many band parents in the stands last week! Congratulations to the freshman on their first successful marching experience with the awesome NRHS Marching Band! Next week's game is away against Parma at Byer's field.

Band Booster Meeting -

Our first Band Booster Meeting takes place TOMORROW, Monday, August 31 in the High School Community Room located in the front of the high school. The meeting starts at 7 PM. Please come join us! We will have membership, sportswear, button sales as well as many fundraising event updates. Get involved, and join the fun! We would love to see you! Mr. Vitale will stop by at the end of the meeting to give his update on what's happening with the band.

Air Show Update -

The airshow is THIS WEEKEND! Thank you to everyone who volunteered and to Becky Cozzens, Becky Humes and Heidi Eisaman for all of your efforts putting this event together! VOLUNTEERS – PICK UP YOUR INFORMATION AND PARKING PASSES before or after the Band Booster Meeting on Monday or on Wednesday at 5:30pm before the evening rehearsal.

Easter Seals -

This event was such a success that we have decided to add another date. Saturday, September 19 from 9 AM until 9 PM is the next collection. We will be sending another sign up genius with opportunities for you to help with this event Check out the most recent issue of The Post for a very nice article about our band and their involvement in this event.

Band Festival -

Our Band Festival, also scheduled for Saturday, September 19, at 7 PM is a very important event for the booster organization. Please read your emails in order to stay up to date on volunteer needs.

Munching for Music -

Our next event takes place at Sweet Cece's this Wednesday September 2. Just visit Sweet CeCe's on the corner of Broadview and 82, show them our flyer (printed or on your phone) and they will donate 20% of your purchase back to the band. Our last event earned us over $300! The students have an early release day scheduled, so perhaps buying some ice cream after a hot day at school would be a great treat that would also help out the band!

Munching for Music at Sweet CeCe's on September 2

Hello Everyone!

Now that the school year has begun we want to celebrate with a big Munching for Music month in September! Last June’s munching day at Sweet CeCe's was very successful so we are having another one there on September 2nd. This is an early release day so we will all have more time to enjoy some yummy food and frozen yogurt at Sweet CeCe's! Just print off the attached flyer and present it when you order, or you can also show it on your smart phone. 20% of all sales will then be donated to the band. Another Munching for Music day is also being planned for mid-September. Please keep watching your email for updates.

Hi Everyone,

We are so close!!! We have already filled over 240 spots for the air show. We need just 12 more for Monday! Thank you so much to everyone who signed up! You guys are great!

We really need to fill those 12 spots for Monday as soon as possible. Our list of volunteers is due to the Air Show in just a few days. If we cannot fill these spots we will lose some fundraising money for this year and we could possibly lose this entire fundraiser for next year. If you can help us out that day please sign up now.

Easter Seals is This Weekend and Air Show Sign Ups

Hi Everyone,

Our Easter Seals "Fill the Truck" Fundraiser is THIS WEEKEND! The truck will be parked next to the Board of Education (6579 Royalton Road). Please help by donating cloth items. The more we collect the more we earn. See below for more details.

There are about 20 spots for Air Show, mostly for Monday but some have opened up for Saturday and Sunday as well. These spots are worth $760. At this point if we cannot fill them we may try to open them to other organizations. We would like to keep as much of the earnings as possible with our band. If you can volunteer any of those days, please sign up now.
