Fruit Sale Blitz Rescheduled

REVISED FRUIT SALE BLITZ WEEKEND INFORMATION:

Due to the impending landfall of Hurricane Irma, projected to hit Florida this weekend ‪through Tuesday as a Cat. 4 or 5, we have been advised by our fruit company to hold off on our Fruit Sale. We receive the majority of our citrus fruit for the sale from Florida. Until the hurricane has passed, we will not know how our growers will be impacted.

We will be rescheduling our Blitz Packet Handout to ‪Wednesday September 20th. Band members will still be reporting to Cafeteria 2 after 6-9 practice. We still need volunteers for the hand out that day ‪from 8:30pm - 9:30pm. Please see the revised Sign Up Genius to volunteer.

We will be doing our Fruit Sale Blitz on Saturday, September 23rd. (We do realize some of you may have prior commitments for that day such as Cross Country meets etc. These students may also sell on Sunday the 24th as well. We will be available on Monday the 25th after Band practice by the Band room to collect those few Blitz packets as well.)

The schedule for the 23rd is pictured below and is also on Mr. Vitale's website. We will hold our Blitz Packet turn in and Pizza Party (on September 23rd) after the Band Members have reported for the Twinsburg football game. We need volunteers for this day to help with packet collection and pizza from 4pm - 5:30pm Please see the revised Sign Up Genius to volunteer.

We will be handing out packets for the Personal Fruit Sale after 6-9 practice on September 27th.

We very much appreciate your flexibility, understanding, and support with these unexpected changes. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us. Please keep our growers and all the families in the path of this hurricane in your thoughts. This could be a catastrophic situation for all of those in the path of this destructive monster which could cause loss of lives, homes and livelihoods.

Dear Band Families,

As a follow up to our email titled: ‘Today’s News’, the Boosters would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to all the bandos, their families and friends that stepped up to help us out on Sunday and Monday! We had a record turnout of volunteers!

We hope that you had a fantastic time, watched the Air Show and were able to meet other band families in the process.

Fruit Sale Blitz Weekend

Sept 9-10 is our Fruit Sale Blitz weekend… packets will be handed out in Cafeteria 2 after the Wednesday 6-9 practice. A few things to remember: travel in groups and ONLY during the daylight hours, wear the Purple Band Polo uniform, (the one you wore for the Home Days Parade!), stay on the street you signed up for, do not enter any one’s home and have fun!! The NR Police are aware that we will be going door to door for this fruit sale. Monday after extended practice, stop by Café 2 for Pizza as a Thank You from the Boosters! Any questions? Band Fest - September 16

The preview of our contest show will be Saturday, Sept 16 at Band Fest! We will be hosting 12 bands in total and there will be more than 1800 performers! WOW!!!!! Plan to come for the entire evening to enjoy the show. Tshirts will be sold at the event! We still need a few volunteers to help sell programs. To volunteer

Car Raffle Tickets

Your bando received two car raffle tickets to sell after the practice last Wednesday. Sold tickets and payment should be returned to the white band box. You can get extra tickets to sell by contacting Joyce Fink: 440-237-1636

Car Raffle Tickets Were Distributed

Dear Band Families,

The Band Booster Car Raffle tickets were distributed last night after practice. If your child did not receive their envelope ask them to see Mr. Burdick to pick it up. Please remind your student that they are responsible for the raffle tickets they received. Whether they are able to sell them or not, they need to be turned in by Wednesday, October 11, 2017. DO NOT LOSE YOUR TICKETS!!

We Really Need Your Help This Weekend

Dear Band Families,

We are down to 61 openings for Air Show this weekend. Those 61 spots are worth over $2,000! Plus, our numbers for Sunday and Monday are low enough that we may not be invited back next year. Help us earn money for our band this year and keep the opportunity for future years. It is fun and easy work. You get to see the show for free, and lunch & parking are provided too. Make it a family day and volunteer with your high school kids!

A Message From Mr. Vitale

Dear Band Families

On behalf of the Band Boosters, I just wanted to remind parents that we still need volunteers for this weekend’s Air Show. We have slots that need to be filled for Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. It is not hard work, there are plenty of breaks, and lunch is provided! You can even make an event of it with your student, because they can help as well (as long as they are over 15) and then you guys get to see the Air Show while you are helping out!

This is one of our biggest fundraisers for the Band - and if we are not able to fully staff it, then we run the risk of not being invited to run it in the future. It's, It's A Fruit Sale Blitz

Dear Band Families,

The Fruit Sale Blitz weekend is almost upon us! We need volunteers to help the Fruit Sale committee pass out the Blitz packets on:

WEDNESDAY, SEPT 6 from 8:30p – 9:30p in Cafeteria 2

As a thank you to the bandos for their hard work during the Blitz weekend, there will be a pizza party:

MONDAY, SEPT 11 from 2:45p – 4:00p in Cafeteria 2.

We need volunteers to help setup and serve the pizza to our bandos.

Marching Band Cup & Contest Hoodies

Dear Band Families,

We are in the middle of our membership drive. We have many membership levels to choose from and this year you can also add on a wonderful Tervis cup with the NRHS Marching Band logo for $25. This cup is only available to members. The add on is at the bottom of the form. If you have already joined you can still order cups. Just fill out the top of the form with your name and contact info, fill in the Tervis cup add on box with the number of cups you want, and then write next to it that you are already a member. It is also time to order your contest hoodies and pins. Please note that all orders (including orders made through our Grand Staff Membership) are due in the white band box by September 7.
