Hi Band Parents,
Friday is the second football game of the season and we wanted to share a few important reminders.
Don’t forget to stop over at the photo button table by the North Gate to pick up your photo button order. Friday’s game is the second last day to pick up the buttons. Don’t miss your opportunity to wear your bright, smiling child on your Bear-wear. If you haven’t ordered yet, there is still time to buy these world-famous buttons if you stop by the table before the game on Friday. The photo button table will be there from about 6:00 until the end of the first quarter.
For those who have not picked up their Air Show parking tickets and waiver forms, please stop by the table by the North Gate before the game. You need these tickets to park in the volunteer lots and access your assigned gate.
Air Show forms will be available from about 6:00 to the end of the first quarter.Remember the Air Show runs rain or shine so we need to show up regardless of the weather.
We are also still looking for Air Show volunteers so please consider signing up or signing up for another day. Please click on this link which will take you to our Sign Up Genius to volunteer. We need to fill all 85 slots per day to ensure maximum payout for the band and to avoid losing this important fundraiser.
Here is the like to the membership form. If you have not done so yet please print and fill out and send into the white band box or send in tomorrow at Fee, Form & Photo Day.
There will also be Membership registration forms at the table by the North Gate before the game. If you have not already joined the boosters, please consider joining. There are membership levels to suit anyone’s budget and the funds are instrumental to providing the vibrant band community and tradition of excellence we have all come to enjoy. (Plus you get cool goodies when you sign up.)
Stay for the game
We know it can be tempting to leave after the band performs the wonderful halftime show, thinking you saw everything you wanted to and want to beat the traffic. However, we encourage you to stay for the whole game. The football team is exciting this year, as shown by last week’s win, and the band plays “stadium jams” all fourth quarter plus the post-game Alma Mater. And if you head down to the school after the band marches out, you might see the drum line doing one of their spectacular “Flagpole” performances. It is definitely worth the wait and the walk!

Hope everyone enjoyed our very first Friday Night Football Half Time Performance, I know we did!
Band Booster Membership:
Year to date we have 68 people who have signed up for Band Booster Membership. Of those 68, 64 of those are current band members. We have 275 band members, we have a goal of 100 memberships, please help us reach that goal. It is so important to get involved even if it is simply by joining the Band Boosters. You do not need to have a child go to NORO or have them in the Band program to be a member. Don’t forget this is a tax write off.
Please do not forget: All committee chairs and bus chaperones must be Band Booster members.
Here is the link to the form, please feel free to fill it out and send it in with your Band Student to the white band box in Mr. Vitale’s room.
The sooner you sign up, the sooner you get your band apparel. For those that have already signed up, we will begin to get your items together and send them home with your Band Student during the 6-9 practices. We will let you know an exact date as soon as we have the items put together.
Order your yard sign for your student. The cost is $25 and the deadline is September 7th!

NRHS Band Boosters
Dear Band Families -
We got quite a few more volunteers this week, so thank you to those who signed up. If you haven't signed up (or want to sign up for a second day!) we still need people on Sunday (need 15) and Monday (need 27) to meet our required 85 per day. We are getting close, we just need a few more families and friends to help us. There is still time to sign up! Remember, the money raised goes directly to help defer the costs of band trips, so the more we raise the less they cost for everyone. If you or anyone you know 14 or over can help please have them sign up via Signup Genius here:
For those of you who have already signed up if you did not get your parking passes, tickets, and instructions at Parent Preview Night we will have a table set up at the game near the entrance by the concession stand at the game on Friday. All tickets (Gate 6 only), parking passes, waivers, and instructions for your shift will be available under your name. If you will not be there you will need to make arrangements with me or Kathy Payne to get your tickets before your shift.

This online store is NOW OPEN and specifically has this year's Celebracion Contest Hoodie. You will also find yard signs & several other spirit wear items with many styles and sizes to choose from.
Please find the link below to the online store for all your North Royalton Band spirit wear. Please have all orders in by Wednesday, September 12, 2018. Once the store closes and all orders are processed we will deliver your items during the Wednesday 6-9pm practices.

THIS IS OUR LARGEST FUNDRAISER… WE WANT THE AIR SHOW TO ASK US BACK NEXT YEAR… SO…. PLEASE HELP FILL THE SPOTS AND HELP OUT THE BAND!
Sign up and spend the day at the Air Show AND raise money for the band! It is a fun day of selling tickets, passing out programs, or parking cars. Plenty of breaks and lunch provided. Bring a chair and watch the show! THIS IS ONE OF OUR LARGEST FUNDRAISERS! WE CAN RAISE NEARLY $10,000 FOR OUR BAND! The money we raise at the Air Show goes DIRECTLY to help pay for band trips (e.g. DISNEY). So if we are going to keep these trips affordable we need your help. If you are a senior family,remember people did this for you when you were in 8th grade; you just did not know it at the time. We need everyone to make this a success!

Hello Band Parents!
Don't forget there is a Band Booster Parent meeting this Thursday, August 16th at 7 pm in the High School Media Center.
We look forward to seeing you there and seeing some new faces as well. Please come with any questions you may have.
Also, don't forget Parent Preview Night and our Ice Cream Social is this Friday, August 17th at the NR Football Stadium. You can arrive as early as 6 pm for ice cream and the Band Performance starts at 7 pm. Ice cream will be set up by the home concessions stand at the stadium. First, come pick up your tickets by using the student's last name that was written on the order form. You will receive tickets for all of the cups of ice cream that you ordered, so each family member can turn in a ticket when that person is ready to eat. Band students can get their tickets from a family member when they are done performing.
The ice cream social will shut down around 6:50 and reopen after the preview so that our volunteers can enjoy the show.
Thank you for supporting the band by enjoying some delicious ice cream!
