November & December Munching For Music - Pies

Dear Band Families,

In November and December we will be eating Bakers Square pies for Munching for Music! Starting at tonight’s Marching Band Concert we will be selling Bakers Square pie certificates for $14 each. Order forms will also be coming home with students soon. It’s easy! Buy/sell certificates and then go to Bakers Square to turn them in for fresh baked pies. Bakers Square is located at 7011 W. 130thSt, Parma Hts., OH. You can turn your order in as soon as you want. The sooner you turn it in, the sooner you receive your certificates. All orders are due by December 15. Sell to your friends, family, co-workers, etc. This is a great idea for desserts for the upcoming holidays. You can also donate certificates to the North Royalton Food Bank. The flyer and order form are attached for your convenience.

Marching Band Uniform Turn In

Dear Band Families:

Well, another marching band season has come to an end. What a great year again! It is also time to turn in the marching band uniforms.

Uniforms will be turned in to our new uniform room, room 310. It is on the first floor, located in the hallway behind the community room.

Marching Band Uniform Turn In Dates

  • November 17, from 6pm to 8pm
  • November 18, from 6pm to 8pm

It would be appreciated if you can make every effort to return your uniform on these dates. However we understand there may be a few conflicts, just please contact us in advance to make other arrangements. If you have questions, please contact Anthony by email at or Joel by email at

  • Marching band uniforms must be DRY CLEANED. North Royalton Band Boosters will be paying for this cleaning ONLY IF you take your uniform to “ON THE SPOT DRY CLEANING” in Broadview Heights at the corner of Route 82 and Broadview Road, or in Parma at the corner of Pleasant Valley and State Roads. This would include the jacket, and both pairs of pants. Make sure you return the uniform in the plastic bag with the receipt attached.You will not be permitted to turn in your uniform unless it has been dry cleaned and you have the receipt. This is your responsibility.
  • Remove the collar guard and machine wash at home. Remember to replace this before returning your uniform.
  • Wash your rain coat and garment bag in cold water, gentle cycle and let them hang dry before you return them. Do not put the rain coat or garment bag in the dryer. Make sure the raincoat is dry before uniform turn in night.
  • Wipe down your hat, inside and out, with a damp cloth.

The following items must be returned on uniform turn in night!

  • Dry cleaned Uniform, including football pants, contest pants and jacket, in the plastic dry-cleaner bag with receipt attached.
  • Clean and dry raincoat
  • Clean and dry garment bag
  • Clean hat (inside and out)
  • Large plastic hanger the uniform came on when it was given out.

Bakery for Marching Band Concert

Dear Sophomore Band Families:

Just a friendly reminder. We are asking all Sophomore Band Families to bring store bought desserts with NO peanuts to the Marching Band Concert on November 4th. After the concert we are hoping all the band members and their families will enjoy bakery and beverages, but CURRENTLY LESS THAN HALF THE SOPHOMORE BAND FAMILIES HAVE SIGNED UP TO DONATE and there will not be enough bakery for everyone to enjoy!

Volunteers Needed for Marching Band Concert

Dear Band Families,

We only have a few days before the Marching Band Concert on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. After the concert the band members and their families will enjoy bakery and beverages. Obviously we need a few volunteers to help make sure this event goes smoothly.

Band Booster News - Halloween Candy, Booster Meeting, States, Concert and More

Hi Everyone,

It will be nice to have a weekend off from contest. I hope all the kids have an opportunity to enjoy it. The whole marching band is working so hard! If you haven't hugged your bando lately, give them a hug in support of all their efforts. No other organization offers quite the same experiences as marching band.

Home Game

This Friday will be the last home game of the season. Come check out the progress the group has made in the past week. It truly is incredible!

Halloween Candy

We have received a great response to our request for candy for the bandos this Halloween. Thank you to everyone who signed up. Don’t forget to have your bando drop the candy off by Monday. It's also not too late to sign up. If you are interested sign up here.

Band Booster Meeting

Our next booster meeting will be held on Monday, Oct. 26, in the Media Center at 7 pm.


We have been given an 8:00 pm time slot on Oct. 31 in Columbus. Mr. Vitale has the details available on the Director’s Notes page. Please make note of it. This is the latest we have played at STATES in my 4 years, which prevents us from making our traditional stop at Polaris in Columbus and has us arriving home after midnight. Please plan accordingly.

Marching Band Concert

This event, held on Nov. 4 in the gym at 7:00 pm, will mark the end of our 2015 season. This is always a fun (and warm) opportunity to hear our favorite music of the entire football/contest season. We hope to see you there!

Fruit Sale Has Ended

Thank you to all that sold fruit! As soon as we know when the fruit will be harvested and sent to Ohio we will firm up the pick up date. It is usually in early December.

Band Awards Banquet and Presentation

Hi Band Families,

On Wednesday, May 11, 2016 all band members and their families are cordially invited to attend the Band Awards Banquet and presentation. Dinner will be served at 6:00 PM and the presentation will begin at 7:00 PM. The Invitation including the RSVP form for this event can be downloaded here.

Munching For Music at Chick-Fil-A Wednesday, April 20

We love band, yes we du. We love band, how 'bout you? If you're shouting "Yes!" right now, then you qualify for our next Munching For Music day at Chick-fil-A! Next Wednesday, April 20th, from 6:30 am - 10:00 pm, how 'bout you? If you're shouting "Yes!" right now, then you qualify for our next Munching For Music day at Chick-fil-A! Next Wednesday, April 20th, from 6:30 am - 10:00 pm, at the Chick-fil-A located at 16584 Royalton Road in Strongsville is the place to be! Yes, you read that right...this is an all-day event! They call it a Spirit Day, so let's show them how much band spirit we have by eating a lot of Chick-fil-A that day! You can literally eat there for breakfast, lunch and dinner if that's what you choose to do. We will just appreciate any support you can give. When you visit the restaurant, please bring a paper copy of the flyer with you, or just show it on your phone. We know how popular Chick-fil-A sandwiches always are at different Royalton events, so now you can enjoy anything from their restaurant while helping the band earn some moo-lah. Let's have a great Spirit Day by supporting a generous business as they give support back to us.

Cleaning Out Your Closets for Easter Seals

Well, the nice weather is upon us and it is time to start thinking about changing the closets for summer! What a perfect time since the NRBB ‘Fill the Truck’ for Easter Seals event is Saturday, April 23 from 9-6 by the Board of Education.

So please help the marching band and Easter Seals by pulling the small, worn, torn cloth items (ANY cloth items) and bring them to the collection on Saturday, April 23rd!

Band Awards Banquet Invitation and RSVP

Band Families,

We are on the homestretch to the end of the school year and the Band Awards Banquet is fast approaching. Attached is the invitation and RSVP form. (The RSVP is the second page of the document.) RSVP’s are due back on May 2.

A check is needed to pay for everyone attending who is not a Senior Band Student. The cost is $11 per person. Seniors band members are free. Please put the RSVP and payment in an envelope and mark it, “Awards Banquet Night” and have your student drop it off in the white band box.

Even if you do not attend the dinner, everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend the Band Awards program which starts at 7:00pm. It is a great way to spend an enjoyable evening with family and friends.

Hello Band Nation,

We are growing ever closer to our last 2 fundraisers (Hosting State Band Contest and Easter Seals -Fill the Truck) on Friday, April 22 and Saturday, April 23 and we truly need your help! We still have a need for over 100 volunteers and 28 bands to serve!!! Please consider helping for a few hours at one of these 2 events. If everyone does a little, no one will have to do a lot! It looks like our band members had an awesome experience in Florida. The weather was great, the parade was exciting, and the lifelong memories were made by many. It is hard to believe that we have begun the final stretch of the 2015-16 school year.

It looks like over the next 8 weeks we will spend a fair amount of time together with our final 4 events. These events include State Band Contest, Band O Rama, Band Banquet and the Memorial Day Parade. We definitely are a busy band nation! Please check the director’s page often to stay on top of it all! Advertisement in The Post - Please share!

Attention Freshman and Senior Parents

We are asking each Senior family to donate one last time. Please donate 1 or 2 boxes of prepackaged (store-bought) baked goods that we can sell at State Band Contest.

We are asking the Freshman families to donate the following based on the letter of your last name:

  • A – R: 12 - 20 oz. bottles of Gatorade/PowerAde (Also G2)
  • S – Z: 24 - cans of pop – Please get some diet too

For those families interested in donating more, we can use anything pre-packaged. Rice Krispy Treats, Granola Bars, Muffins, etc. Anything you donate becomes a profit for the band.

Donations can be dropped off at 13749 Woodcroft Trace (Woodcroft Glen development) beginning Monday, April 11, in the bin located by the side garage door. Please bring it on or before Tuesday, April 19. Please put your last name on the package.
